DENVER, CO - Trigon, LLC has completed the turnkey 60,000 HP Trailblazer Pipeline Expansion Project for Kinder Morgan on schedule and on budget. Project scope included the supply and installation of five Solar compressor units at three different sites on the Trailblazer Pipeline. Three of the five units were 12,000 HP electric motor driven gas compressors, and two units were Solar Mars 100 turbine/compressor packages. The scope also included supply of compressor buildings, control buildings, medium voltage switchgear and buildings, MCC’s, and all normal compressor station subsystems - fuel, instrument gas/air, measurement, tankage, ESD’s, station and unit control systems. Two stations were grassroots, and the third was an addition to an existing station.

Trigon provided turnkey project management, engineering, design, control system design, protective relay design, power studies, procurement, construction, construction management, and inspection. Trigon procured all materials for the project, including all of the Solar compression packages. Trigon’s construction sub-contractors were Mountain West and Encon. Trigon also provided all startup services in conjunction with Kinder Morgan.
