02/13/08 :: CH2M HILL TRIGON COMPLETES PHASE THREE OF CBM GATHERING SYSTEM
CH2M HILL Trigon's Lakewood and Durango offices recently completed Phase 3 of a privately held Coal Bed Methane (CBM) production and gathering system in Southern Colorado. The system includes gas and water gathering for 41 coal bed methane wells. The project also included a compressor, power generating station and underground sales pipeline. The station included all the ancillary equipment for gas separation, metering, power conditioning and a SCADA system for the entire well field and compression facility. The project was designed and constructed to have a minimal impact on the surrounding environment. The well field included an underground power distribution system to all the wells from the compressor site. Water produced by the wells is distributed to centralized ponds through the gathering system for beneficial use.
CH2M HILL Trigon's services for the project included engineering, design and construction management.
